the All-Star format for having to have a representative from every team sucks.
So many better players left out because a team in last place gets to send someone.
Buffalo deserves to send 0 players... lets be honest.
Rangers deserve at least one more guy there (perhaps a guy that was thought to be on the scrap heap but is scoring at a ridiculous pace... Grabner anyone?)

Great point.
Forgot about that.
If they want to have this silly debacle in the middle of the season they should make it a true best on best format.

The last week Grabner in 2 games got 5 goals but was having a very good year before this recent surge, if someone opts out or is injured I could see him getting a call.

I haven't even turned one on since pre 2004-05 lockout. Last time I watched a full one was the ASG @ the Garden in 1994.

Last years was surprisingly fun to watch. 5-5 was boring as (frank). Watched the skills and that was it.

I don't love any All-Star game but I'm always a little surprised by how much hate the NHL one gets. It's not like guys are getting injured and it's just a harmless, goofy-ass hockey game. It's something to watch.

I do love the skill competition though.

Yup. I thinks its like the Tanner syndrome. Its cool to say you hate it.

3-3 was a smart idea though. Its constant action, something 5-5 severely lacked. If you aren't going to check and you have 10 guys on the ice its just sloppy. 3-3, its non stop.

Is it a game I will make sure I am home for, nope. But if I'm inside and its on I will watch it.
